ABOUT ME
My name is Janelle Lopez, and I am the Owner and Facility Administrator of Marie's Manor Assisted Living. As a young daughter who once faced the complexities of navigating the heart-wrenching journey of caring for my mom as she battled early Alzheimer's. I didn't fully understand the weight of it all—being torn between wanting to be there for her and having to leave her in places that never felt right, places that could never be enough. The guilt was overwhelming, and I felt helpless, like I was failing her. But that experience sparked something in me: a deep desire to create a better environment for others facing the same challenges.

Is Smoking Allowed?We are a smoke free facility. Smoking is not allowed inside or outside of the community at any time. This includes cigarettes and electronic substitutes such as Vaping Machines. We are courteous of the health needs of all our residents.

Who is right Assisted Living?Assisted Living is a wonderful option for seniors for a variety of reasons. Seniors who are frail but not sick and who need some help with daily activities such as housecleaning, meals, dressing, and medication reminders and monitoring, are appropriate for Assisted Living. Geriatric experts estimate that nearly 1/3 of people age 85 and older need some assistance with these types of daily living activities. Seniors who want peace of mind, who don’t want to rely on family for assistance or care, are appropriate for Assisted Living as well. Additionally, many seniors simply want to live independently without the worries of home maintenance, shopping and cooking on a daily basis or just do not wish to live alone any longer.

How is Assisted Living Paid For?There are many different ways Assisted Living is paid for. From private pay, Long Term care insurance, Veteran Benefits and Statewide Managed Medicaid Care Long Term Care program. Be sure to seek advice from professionals to find how to get assistance with paying for Long term Care (Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing). Contact Marie's Manor to get further details. Are Pets Allowed?As much as we love our furry family members. Marie's Manor does not allow pets to move in with residents. We are courteous of the health needs of our residents.
